The Calgary Therapy Institute located in the community of Lake Bonavista, offers specialized, comprehensive assessments and therapy.​ Our professional team provides services for children, teens, and adults across the lifespan.  We are a trauma-focused, client-centred practice that values equity, diversity and inclusive care for all population groups.  In a complex and ever changing world, we seek to understand our clients and their unique needs.

Dr. Patricia Miller, RCSW, PhD (Behavioural and Social Sciences), Psy.D (clinical psychology), MSW, M.A clinical psychology,

Patricia Miller brings a wealth of experience to The Calgary Therapy Institute. She has completed a master’s degree in Social Work, a Master of Counselling Psychology, successfully defended her PhD. in Behavioural and Social Sciences in 2018 from Tilburg University in the Netherlands and she successfully completed her clinical psychology degree (Psy. D), through Calsouthern University in November, 2023. She is a Registered Psychologist in the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia, and a Registered Clinical Social Worker in the province of Alberta.

Dr. Trista Keating,

Dr. Trista Keating is a specialist in the assessment of toddler, child, and youth Autism Spectrum Disorder (including its different presentation in girls), learning disorders, ADHD, anxiety/depression, and a wide variety of other conditions. Dr. Trista received her undergraduate degree in psychology from McGill University and completed her Ph.D. in School Psychology at the University of Alberta.

Marie approaches her work utilizing a collaborative and strength-based perspective in order to help children, adolescents, and their families understand and overcome challenges.

Chang completed her doctoral coursework in the CPA-accredited clinical psychology program at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver (BC), as well as an APA-accredited pre-doctoral clinical psychology internship at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago (IL).

Jenna is a Registered Clinical Social Worker who has extensive experience treating eating disorders, trauma, depression and anxiety. Jenna is an EMDR Therapist with her Level II CBT Accreditation and is a designated Clinical Traumatologist.

Paul has a range of experience working in emergency services as a paramedic for 10 years, in education as a teacher for 7 years and now as a mental health therapist for nearly 10 years. This varied experience has allowed Paul to develop expertise in working with trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic pain among other mental health areas of concern.

Sara is a Registered Provisional Psychologist and a certified music therapist. She is also a Canadian certified counselor and a Registered Clinical Counselor in British Columbia. She has over 10 years of experience in the mental health field in various roles in Canada and abroad.

Paul is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who specializes in Adult ADHD. Prior to working in mental health, Paul had a 20-year career in the performing arts. He holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, a BA in Psychology and Philosophy and a BFA in Acting. Paul also works as an educator, coach, 2SLGBTQ+ activist, and certified Embodied Awareness Facilitator.

Natalie Alana Marshall has completed a master’s degree in social work and is working towards finishing a doctorate of education (Ed.D) specializing in leadership. Natalie is passionate about mental health, leadership and professional development.

Ciara Neave is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who has completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Minor in Philosophy. During her Masters, Ciara took a particular interest in assessments and health psychology.

Vincenzo Sabella holds a Masters with honours in Applied Clinical and Health Psychology and Bachelors Degree in Sciences and Psychological Techniques from the University of L'Aquila in Italy. He spent two years of post-university studies in Rome at the Italian Institute of Scientific Sexology.

Ana holds an LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws in International and European Law) and is currently completing the final leg of her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She has lived in three different countries and is very comfortable working with clients from around the world.

Heather attended training at the Calgary Family Therapy Centre during completion of a Master's of Nursing. She has spent the last ten years working as a Family Counsellor on youth mental health units at Alberta Children's Hospital and the Foothills Medical Centre. She is currently focusing on the final courses of a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She is passionate about the supportive role of therapy, as part of an individuals pursuit for improved well-being.

With training in several therapeutic modalities, Ryan works with clients on challenges ranging from depression, anxiety, and academic stress to religious trauma and parenting. He is currently completing an MA in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.

Dawson Warman is a student of psychology and philosophy, currently completing his honours research at St. Mary’s University. His aim is to pursue a doctorate in psychology following his convocation at the end of the year.

With a dual degree in Management and Business Administration, specializing in Human Resources, Marija has over 15 years of experience in human resources, customer service, administration, finance, coaching, and education.

Rebeca recently completed her undergraduate studies at Western University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience and is currently completing her Masters in Counselling! 

Maria holds a BA in Psychology from St. Mary’s University, and is eager to further her expertise in the field while prioritizing support for clients and clinic staff alike.
