Alexa is also a PGAP-certified Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist, specializing in functional reactivation and empowering clients to regain confidence and engagement in daily life.​ Taking a client centred and trauma informed approach, she draws on evidence-based practices to tailor her approach to each client’s unique needs, fostering resilience and personal growth. 

​

Alexa is passionate about supporting her local community and has been involved with numerous community and non-profit agencies. Her roles at these organizations range from conducting qualitative research to inform community program and facilities expansions (at Vivo for Healthier Generations) and program development for an addictions centre for women. While at the University of Calgary, she was part of a group that planned and held fundraising events, with and for our special Olympic athletes.

Wit experience conducting psychoeducational and psychovocational assessments via a doctorate level training program, Alexa has a strong interest in psychodiagnostic assessment of all kinds but especially psychoeducational and psychovocation. 

 

Looking forward, Alexa has a strong interest in providing psychological services within the LGBTQIA+ community in her career, as well as in working in areas of trauma while expanding her expertise in various therapeutic modalities to support her clients.

Outside of work, Alexa enjoys heading outdoors to ski, snowboard, skate, or hike. If not outside, she enjoys preparing and enjoying delicious foods and spending time with animal friends.
